The BC Bottle Depot Association (BCBDA) supports the Salvation Army U-Can-Help program. This program encourages people to donate the deposits they have paid on used beverage containers (at the point of purchase) to the Salvation Army by bringing the used beverage containers back to participating bottle depots in BC. The monies generated from the donations will help fund Salvation Army programs that assist the less fortunate members of our communities. Persons wishing to donate their used beverage container deposits to the U-Can-Help program are asked to check BCBDA's member website www.mydepot.ca for the closest depot that is participating in the program. Look for the U Can Help poster at participating depots. Your local depot may also accept containers for a variety of other service groups. Persons requiring more information on how they can participate in the U-Can-Help program are asked to call Gary Allan who operates the Choices Recycling Centre beside Choices Market 3428 King George Hwy Surrey 604-541-3908. Gary would be happy to help you organise bottle drives that support charities.
